【A3!】 Spring Has Come! – Spring Troupe: Lyrics Translation

spring

Guess who just jumped into a new hell (yes it’s 89)… Sorry I came back only to translate something completely new ww

Honestly I’m not sure if this has been translated or not yet but since I bought the album and love this song I thought I might as well translate it. I’ll definitely translate the other songs too if I don’t see any translations around~

The speaking parts I translated by listening and looking at other people’s transcriptions so sorry if they’re wrong.
also if you’re curious scroll to the bottom for translation notes!

H A R U G U ohhh… M I!!

“Well then, Spring Troupe here we go!”

“Masumi”
“Masumi!”
“Yeah yeah”

A cool beauty that just can’t seem to leave something be
Those eyes that look afar just seem so lonely,
Are you ok?

“Tsuzuru”
“Tsuzuru!”

“Eh, Ah…”

I’ll leave the troublesome things to you?
Write it out, our story

Come on, with the paint of five characters’ five colors let’s paint it over
It’s too late for any “take backs”
Let’s match our paces and go forward

Someday at this street corner where spring is at full height
May the flowers colored by us bloom into success*
Look, no matter when and even now
The flower buds* are trying to blossom

May this spring in full bloom reach you
The cherry blossom front is always right here

A few oddities are a good thing, right?

Hey, come to this stage we’ll flutter about on

“We of Spring, mhm. We welcome you to the Spring Troupe performance! … wah!”
“Spring is the season of awakening. And Thus the season of love”
“And to everyone’s hearts, a wonderful hanasaka jii-san*!”
“Citron!”
“Citron…”

“Quit it. Your Japanese is wrong again”
“No, no, no. According to my country’s law it’s correct.”

Oh my God!!

And with this and that our footprints continue on…

Ah, it’s because flowers continue to change color that they’re beautiful
Starting from here let’s go together
Carry on our hearts and go forward

On this stage that spring dances in full bloom
May the flowers colored by you bloom into success
If you keep staying embarrassed and hesitate
You’ll miss out on a wonderful moment

Paint over the world with this spring scenery
And stamp out the sounds of the footsteps of happiness

Your smile above anything else is our energy

Hey, come enjoy this stage we’ll flutter about on

From where the sky is cloudy
Call out to us
We’ll come running to wherever after all
There’s no need for your tears

“Okaay. Good work. Well then I’m gonna go back and play games—“
“Itaru-san! Itaru-san!”
“Eh, what?”
“Not yet. It hasn’t ended yet!”
“Seriously”

“We of the Spring Troupe, for the sake of your smile, vow to put our soul and body into performing.”

Someday at this street corner where spring is at full height
May the flowers colored by us bloom into success
Look, no matter when and even now
The flower buds are trying to blossom

May this spring in full bloom reach you
The cherry blossom front is always right here

A few oddities are a good thing, right?

Hey, come to this stage we’ll flutter about on

Oh my God!!

t/n:

1)These lyrics actually contain some figurative speech that make it so much more wonderful to listen to!
In the chorus, “bloom in success” or “花を咲かせる” is actually an idiom that means something like “to become successful and well-known” while it literally translates to “make the flowers bloom.”
Another nice thing to note is that “flower bud” or “蕾” can refer to a “promising young person.” ((stares at taruchi
The “stage we’ll flutter about on” is a metaphor or play on words. The verb “舞う” is often used when you want to describe cherry blossoms falling but it literally translates to “dance” and is also used to describe performers on stage.

2)The truth is I can’t tell who said the “we of spring troupe…” and “spring is the season of awakening…” etc and it’s been driving me nuts!! The lyrics I referenced say it’s Tsuzuru but it sounds so much like Sakuya ;; and the other line sounds like none of their usual voices wtf is it really Itaru or is it Tsuzuru…

3)Not exactly sure on what Citron was trying to say but “hanasaka jii-san” is from a folk lore and he’s basically an old man that’s able to make withered trees bloom. In other words, I interpreted it as Citron wanting everyone’s hearts to bloom but saying hanasaka jii-san implies they’re withered haha
