1)These lyrics actually contain some figurative speech that make it so much more wonderful to listen to!
In the chorus, “bloom in success” or “花を咲かせる” is actually an idiom that means something like “to become successful and well-known” while it literally translates to “make the flowers bloom.”
Another nice thing to note is that “flower bud” or “蕾” can refer to a “promising young person.” ((stares at taruchi
The “stage we’ll flutter about on” is a metaphor or play on words. The verb “舞う” is often used when you want to describe cherry blossoms falling but it literally translates to “dance” and is also used to describe performers on stage.
2)The truth is I can’t tell who said the “we of spring troupe…” and “spring is the season of awakening…” etc and it’s been driving me nuts!! The lyrics I referenced say it’s Tsuzuru but it sounds so much like Sakuya ;; and the other line sounds like none of their usual voices wtf is it really Itaru or is it Tsuzuru…
3)Not exactly sure on what Citron was trying to say originally but “hanasaka jii-san” is from a folk lore and he’s basically an old man that’s able to make withered trees bloom. In other words, I interpreted it as Citron wanting everyone’s hearts to bloom but saying hanasaka jii-san implies they’re withered haha
